The South African Pest Control Sector have acknowledged that in the last decade there has been an erosion and decline in value proposition of a conforming Pest Control Operator as a profession. Endless debates regarding the many factors that have contributed and continue to contribute to the erosion/decline of the sector can be had, however while the debates may continue, positive change is needed for best interest of sector as a whole.
The Pest Control Industry Professional Council was establish so as provide a service not only to address the management of various aspects of the profession, but also so as to service the South African Pest Control sector as a whole ensuring it to be an independent body entrusted to the South African Pest Control Sector (for Industry by Industry).
Established as Non Profit Organisation that is head up by a 10 Independent member industry representative board, the PCIPC, will proactively work to promote, pest control practices in an open forum free of any political or commercial agenda, so as to protect the health and safety and well-being of the South African public, and protecting the integrity of the South African Pest Control Environment and Practices for ALL persons working in it and wishing to work in it.

To develop a proud and professional Pest Control Industry, representative of South Africa and free from any political or commercial agenda, to protect the health and safety of the people, and protecting the integrity of the South African pest control environment and practices.
Effectively administer and maintain a live and updated pest control registration system.
Monitor and re-enforce compliance to national technical application of agricultural remedies, reporting standards and pest control practices in general.
Promote compliant pest control practices that protect the environment, the health and safety of the public, and the integrity and sustainability of the South African Pest Control Environment and Practices.
Promote and monitor expertise and competencies among the PCIPC registered professionals.
Increase awareness of the PCIPC and effectively communicate the vision, mission, objectives and activities to all its stakeholders.
